    We'll be moving soon...

My family and I will be moving soon into our new house sometime in August. My dad already made some appointments with the utility services to meet between Aug. 1 - Aug 3. to do the installation. The house is done, and it's ready to be moved in. My parent sealed the deal on Wednesday. So I guess it's officially ours. I've already packed my books.

Volunteering at the library has been ok. Nothing really interesting happens. Just a bunch of people milling around. Most people just come there to use the computers. And maybe occasionally pick up a video, book, or DVD. That's about it. We got 2 new helpers (that I just noticed). An Asian girl, maybe about my age, and a Hispanic boy that's going to 8th grade. I haven't talked to the girl, but the boy seems real interesting. Too bad that both these guys show up at my last hour there. Oh well. I've been bored volunteering alone. Maybe with some others, it won't be so bad.

I'm moving to the new house before August

Sigh. We're finally moving. The house seems finished. The exterior is done, and the interior is just about finished.

I'm kinda disappointed though. The house didn't exactly look like the model house I visited (it never does). There's no porch, which is something I wanted, and saw. There's no windows on the side of the front door, nor is there an eyehole. So it's hard to tell who's behind the door, which is kinda scary. And there's a bunch of other little things that I'm disappointed in.

I still haven't seen any people my age living around there yet.

I'll post picture of it soon. I've already packed my books.

    New Live Spaces updates

The new Live Spaces update seems kind of interesting. It does 'look' better, but it's also kind of slow a bit. They also got rid of the breadcrumb navigation. I guess it's pretty good, but slow.

The homepage (when you don't sign in), is still so ugly though. I really wished they would fix that. Another blogger posted a Live Spaces wishlist thing, and I thought it was kind of interesting. Here's his post: http://msftandthefuture.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!1CA34B674D84900!224.entry

He hits the right spots on many things. Maybe the Live Spaces team will listen to it. Hopefully. Anyways, my Live Spaces got the new update. Other bloggers are still waiting for it.

I saw "Live Free or Die Hard" - It was awesome!

Last Sunday, I saw the movie, and it was awesome. It was real great compared to most movies I've seen. It was so action packed and had a really good plot.

BEWARE: SPOILERS (If you haven't watched it)

It's all about some hackers in the FBI who are out to destroy the U.S.. The lead man, Gabriel, wants revenge on the U.S., because they wouldn't take his idea for adopting his idea of a more secure system in government agencies, after 9/11. So now he's hacking everything and setting a fire sale. First he destroys transportation  (crashing system around Metros/trains/buses around many cities), then banks go crazy, and then they start killing local utilities.

And it's up to John McClane (the tough, old, NYPD cop) and Farrel (the smart hacker boy) to save the U.S.

It's a pretty much great movie. I usually don't give this, but I definitely think it earn 5 STARS. It was so good. It's been a long time since I've seen a real good movie. Great movie. I definitely recommend it.

    My 7.7.07 and Live Earth

My 7.7.07 was pretty kind of boring. I didn't really get lucky. Although, nothing too bad truly happened either. It was just another day. Although I did see the Live Earth concert on NBC, CNBC, and on MSN, and now that was awesome.

I was truly amazed at the Live Earth concert. For the most part, it was awesome. Great acts, promoting green, and nice easy green tips for us lazy people. I loved it. The venues also looked good themselves, and I heard many concert attenders liked it. MSN also did a great job on providing the content on the internet. I liked the Video On Demand thing they did. Browse by event, then singer/song. Pretty good. The content was also better than Saturday night, where it was still kind of sucky. It even got over 600 Diggs on Digg. And usually Digg users hate Microsoft. So that's really something.

But there's one thing that keeps nagging some people about Live Earth, and I'm tired of it. Some complainers keep saying that it wasn't green enough. That stars flying on jets and stretch limos was bad. The concerts itself, all over the world would release lots of CO2. Al Gore being a heavy promoter at the event (that, I can understand). That type of stuff.

Here's what I have to say: People fly on jets all the time. So a rock star can't? Plus, I think they used hybrids to drive in. I saw a picture of a Live Earth VIP hybrid. Concerts generally release lots of CO2 all the time. At least they're promoting green. Although, I wasn't a big fan of Al Gore coming up there. That was my only downer.

So hopefully they'll have one next year. And that MSN is the content provider again. I might actually attend one. It would be neat.

    05 July

I had a pretty good 4th of July

Well, my parents wanted to go have lunch with their friends, but I decided to go and have a BBQ with my friends. So I went to my friend Joe's house, and some others and I had a nice BBQ. It was awesome. Since I had no cooking talent, I just set the table and the plastic plates and stuff. The BBQ stuff was awesome. He uses real charcoal, which is the best. I also ate some corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, salad, and lots of stuff. I got full. Usually I don't eat a lot, but it was too good to pass up. Luckily, it wasn't too wet and rainy. If at all. We had a water balloon fight, and I didn't get soaked to much, since I'm good at dodging and aiming. Then we went to the mall. Well actually, we went to the mall for awhile, but we got bored (we weren't exactly there to buy anything, just bored), and we went our seperate ways.

I hung around the mall for awhile, and even saw a friend of mine, Christine. She plays volleyball, and stuff. She's nice. I was just walking around the food court, looking for something good to eat, and she said hi to me. I was kind of tongue-tied for a moment, but I said hi. It's been a long time. She was there with some other people, I think, so I just said a quick hi, exchanged a few words, and went on. It was good to meet up with someone else for once. I barely see any friends from school. So I just walked around the whole mall for a long time. Then I saw her waiting in line to get cookies. She wasn't with anyone, and I chatted with her a bit. I even got her to add me as a friend on Facebook. It was a good day. So then I went off again, and eventually again, I see her and her friends (I didn't really notice her friends/neighbor at all) and she waves hi to me again. That's good. She was nice to me last year, and it wasn't surprising or anything. It's just been a long time since I've seen a friend. Usually, I only hang out with the other guys from the studio. Just because we're such great buds and all.

Well anyways, my parents picked me up, I went home. We picked up fireworks on the way (I didn't care too much about fireworks, my bros were though), and we got home. My brother, Alan, being the impatient type, wanted to blast them off right away. It was like still 6:45 (not dark yet), and he wanted to blast them off. My parents were too tired, and they eventually went out at 8:00. I wasn't too interested, but I did come out to see the last few mintues. There were a bunch of kids over. On the street. To come see us blow our fireworks. It was pretty neat.

Well, that's about it. I've recently started trying Facebook and Wallop. They're pretty neat.

    02 July

It's the worst summer ever. And I'm so lonely

So far, it's like the worst summer ever. It wasn't even this bad last year. Some reasons of why this summer is awful:

    • I'm bored
    • It's like raining here every day almost, and it never rains during the school year! It's going to keep raining for a long time :(
    • I'm lonely. I haven't seen a friend, since practically the last day of school.
    • I'm not doing anything more useful, than I could be at school (I like to keep myself busy)
    • Did I mention I was bored?

I've been to a few places, but not really anywhere important. It's just do boring. I hate to say this, but while I do have lots of friends, I don't have lots of 'close' friends. Nobody to hang out with, nobody to actually chat to, nobody to tell your secrets and have fun with. Nobody at all. It's just sad. I do communicate by e-mails, IM's, and phone calls, but everyone seems to actually be doing something, being somewhere, and just having a life. It hurts to know that I didn't make one close friend in High School, but I did make lots of friends. Of course, this year, I'll work on making some real friendships. But until then, all I can hope is that I see someone on the streets.

Meanwhile, it's raining as I type. I hear the rumbling thunder outside. It's not like everyday is drenching wet, but there always seems to be lots of rain, or dark clouds. Especially on MSN Weather and on my Weather Channel Desktop app. I'd rather have it during the school year. It barely ever happens during school. Sometimes, if it rains real bad, you don't have to go out and practice on the field, or do any real exercises out in the hot heat. Most others feel that way too. Plus, if it rains really bad, the lights might go out, and we can get away without doing work. Especially if your room doesn't touch an outdoor window. It's like a freebie class. Okay, it sounds lame, but it's better than hot burning heat. Plus I like the rain. It brings me back to nature, and it feels good. Cool. Wet. It's nice. But it usually only happens in the early morning (before school), or in the late afternoon (after school). Sigh. It just isn't fair.

Plus I'm just plain bored. I only seem to be spending time with family or myself. It sucks having no close friends. There's barely any teens that live in my neighborhood. Or at least any that aren't well liked by me. Sigh. Plus we're going to be moving to a new house soon. The general framework is pretty much complete. That's how I would describe what I last saw. Every time we pass by thorough the neighborhood, I look to see if there's any kids or teens out. I haven't seen any. There's lots of houses already done. The new house is on a long street, and there are some houses already lived in, houses being built, and land waiting to be developed. It's kind of sad to see land being bought up and developed so fast. I'm kind of a Treehugger, although not like a real one.

Anything that I'm doing that's actually useful is volunteering at the library. I pretty much shelve books, straighten magazine, and do an errand for a librarian. It's plain boring. There's not many teens that go there. That I notice at least. A teen might drop by to get an occasional book, go with their kid brothers and sisters, or just use a public computer. But there's still not many teens. If any. I work alone. There's no other volunteers at the same time as me.

Well that's how life is going so far. If you call it a life. It's just plain boring and dismal. I'm not exactly anticipating on going back to school, but it probably beats doing nothing fun. At least I get to see my friends again. Well, that's all for now.
